The First Generation Living Learning Community (1GLLC) Advisor will provide direct support to the director, coordinate programming for the First Generation Living Learning community, and provide instructional workshops to the first generation students at UK regarding career exploration, service learning, leadership and life after college. The advisor in this role will also serve as the staff support/advisor for the First Generation Student Organization.

We pleased to be able to offer this position thanks to a unique partnership with the Gheens Foundation, Robinson Scholars and Undergraduate Education. The 1GLLC was founded in the fall of 2011 in Blanding III and has 75 students enrolled for fall 2013. In 2014, we will be moving to Baldwin Hall and growing to serve more of our incoming first generation students.

This position will work closely with the Office of Residence Life and our campus partners – CARES, First Scholars, Robinson Scholars and Student Support Services.
