The UK Office for Student Success has produced its Annual Report for 2012-13 (download from the link above).  Here’s the Executive Summary:

“The UK Office for Student Success (OFSS) was created in late summer 2012 with the intent to integrate various student retention and graduation functions across the university. Specifically, this realignment process joined together five divisions (Enrollment Management, Student Affairs, Undergraduate Education, Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching, and the International Center). Direct reports include three Associate Provosts, one Vice President, and one director. OFSS is responsible for units that include over 460 employees and budgets exceeding $80 million. http://www.uky.edu/studentsuccess.

“A number of important steps have been taken that position UK for greater retention and time-to-degree rates in the next several years. In the report that follows, areas of accomplishment and activities are categorized in the following areas: (a) organizational activities, (b) leadership and collaboration, (c) academic achievement, and (d) diversity and internationalization. It should be noted that except in rare instances this report does not provide detail for the accomplishments and activities of the five units in student success. Separate annual reports for the individual units will be forthcoming under a separate cover.”
