Volunteers served in a variety of roles, both indoors and outdoors on the BDVP’s 40-acre farm and the shelter facility.
Afterwards, the UK staff returned to campus for lunch. During lunch, Corissa Phillips, director of communication and development for the BDVP, gave a talk about the organization’s work in 17 counties in central Kentucky to meet the needs of victims of intimate partner abuse.
This was the Advising Network’s fourth annual Day of Service.
A big thanks to all who participated and especially to Christy Freadreacea, academic advisor in Undergraduate Studies, who organized the event.
